Tuesday Evenings 7-8:30, 10-week series
"In just weeks you can learn mindfulness-based reduction
(MBSR), a clinically proven program for alleviating stress,
anxiety, panic, depression, chronic pain, and a wide range
of medical conditions. Taught in classes and clinics worldwide,
this powerful approach shows you how to focus on the present
moment in order to permanently change the way you handle stress.
As you work through this booki, you'll learn how to replace
stress-promoting habits with mindful ones - a skill that will
last a lifetime." A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Workbook, Bob Stahl & Elisha Goldstein
Using
the workbook and MP3 CD endorsed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PH.D (founder
of MBSR), we will progressively cover the steps to reduce
stress and truly transform your life. The program incorporates
both formal and informal excercises that can be completed
in just minutes each day. The weekly meetings provide an opportunity
to discuss your experience and any questions that might arise
as well as offering the benefit of the added inspiration of
working with others. Register in advance.
$240 plus workbook $20.
"My
wife and I truly loved your class.
We have been reading and listening to CDs on these types of
topics
for about 15 years and your course has been transformational
for us...
You helped us with many questions we had about meditation
and mindfullness as well."

Sacred
Spaces retreats have a just a 3 simple essential elements:
nature
quiet
you
I
provide sustaining meals and an invitation to silence. With
this, you may relax deeply into the beauty and wonder of simply
being in the natural world.
We meet
at Sacred Spaces in Southborough and carpool one hour to Taohe
- a private lake and woodlands with abundant wildlife, two
woodstove-heated cabins, canoe, kayak and more. Yet it is
the little things that make it perfect - a secluded grove,
a small turtle, owls calling, a big rock to warm on, a silent
meal. This is a place to rest and harmonize your being. Healthy
and delicious vegetarian (or vegan) meals.

"Taohe"
means being in harmony with the environment. The sound
of it is soft and clear.
At
Taohe, twenty-seven acres of woods, a private lake and
a 1930's cabin enable you to leave everything behind and
discover yourself as a simple being of nature.
Taohe
is nearby (30 minutes west of Worcester) and is yet miraculously
secluded and a most prisitne natural environment. Here
you can come back to who you are in your natural, open,
friendly and quiet being as you find yourself amidst hemlock
and oak, hills and lake, owls, moose, otter, hawks, deer,
songbirds, sun, wind and water.
There are hundreds of acres of surrounding New England
forest to hike. There is a canoe and kayak to explore
the waterworlds. The cabin is primitive yet cozy as you
learn to be without usual conveniences such as electricity
and using a handpump for fresh water.
You
may join a scheduled group retreat or tailor a personal
retreat anywhere from a day visit to several days or a
weekend. Your time at Taohe can be as structured or unstructured
as you like. Scheduled
retreat weekend may include individual and group time
with periods of silence, walking, time in nature, laughter,
song, journaling and sharing - and of course, sleeping
and eating wonderful home cooked meals.
Taohe is a special place where you don't have to work at being
in the moment - you're just quietly there.

Thank
you again for the solitude and quietude of this amazing place.
There were 4 deer romping and racing through the woods and
water across the lake this morning. It's so wonderful to feel
(or be) a part of nature again! Thank you. Thank you. Thank
you. M.E.
